Όπως ανέφερε ο γνωστός ποινικολόγος Όθωνας Παπαδόπουλος, ο οποίος μίλησε στο STAR, τα ανθρώπινα υπολείμματα ανακαλύφθηκαν σε έναν από τους συρμούς που φυλάσσονται σε έναν χώρο κοντά στη Λάρισα.
«Μία Επιτροπή Τεχνικών Συμβούλων επισκέφθηκε τα βαγόνια της μοιραίας επιβατικής αμαξοστοιχίας, για να μπορέσει να κάνει μία αυτοψία και να αντλήσει πληροφόρηση σχετικά με τις ουσίες που προκάλεσαν την έκρηξη αρχικά και στη συνέχεια, τη φωτιά που εξαπλώθηκε τόσο γρήγορα», ανέφερε αρχικά ο κ. Παπαδόπουλος και συνέχισε λέγοντας:
«Κατά την επίσκεψή τους στον χώρο που φυλάσσονται τα βαγόνια, εκεί έγιναν μάρτυρες ενός μακάβριου θεάματος. Βρήκαν ανθρώπινα μέλη, τα οποία σήμερα, έξι ολόκληρους μήνες μετά, ήταν ακόμη μέσα στον χώρο του κυλικείου», είπε χαρακτηριστικά.
Και υπογράμμισε: «Eίναι ελάχιστη υποχρέωση σεβασμού στην ανθρώπινη ζωή που χάνεται να γίνει μία περισυλλογή των μελών του σώματος του οποιουδήποτε θύματος. Διατυπώνεται ακόμη από τους ανθρώπους, οι οποίοι έκαναν τη σχετική ανακάλυψη, η ανησυχία και η υποψία ότι ενδεχομένως να υπάρχουν κι άλλα μέλη που βρίσκονται σε διάφορα σημεία από τα απομεινάρια των βαγονιών».
